Are you looking to discover a more confident you? With today’s nonsurgical aesthetic treatment options, you have more choices than ever to help you look and feel your best. Whether you want to address skin concerns caused by aging, sun damage, acne, or dryness, you can achieve younger-looking, rejuvenated skin when you combine the right treatments!
You’re busy, and you naturally want to make the most of your cosmetic treatment time. Combining treatments during the same appointment is efficient and allows you to consolidate any necessary downtime.
Let’s look at some classic and highly effective treatment combinations that may be your path to fresher and more vibrant-looking skin.
BOTOX is the most popular aesthetic treatment in the world due to the quick, simple way it helps maintain a younger-looking appearance. Men and women choose BOTOX to help with wrinkles and expression lines that have been etched into the skin over time from repetitive facial expressions. A neuromodulator, BOTOX prevents specific facial muscles from moving so they can’t cause wrinkles. (You can read more about how BOTOX works on the American Academy of Dermatology website.)
Dermal fillers also rejuvenate the face; however, fillers add volume beneath the skin’s surface to smooth wrinkles or create a fuller look around the eyes, cheeks, or lips.
Because these options address different types of wrinkles, our patients often ask if they can get BOTOX and dermal fillers at the same time. The answer is usually yes! They’re often paired to achieve a more complete rejuvenation than is possible with just one product. This combination is so effective at rejuvenating the face that it is commonly called a liquid facelift.
In many cases, BOTOX and dermal fillers can also be combined with other nonsurgical treatments, including chemical peels, to address other skin issues.
During a chemical peel, a chemical solution is applied to the skin to remove the top layers, revealing the fresher skin beneath. This treatment improves the look of age spots, freckles, scars, and lines on the skin of the face, neck, chest, or hands. There are three main types of chemical peels, from superficial to deep, depending on the issues you wish to address.
During your consultation, your provider will advise whether you can combine this treatment with microneedling, intense pulsed light (IPL), or laser skin rejuvenation.
If you have rosacea, redness, sun spots, hyperpigmentation, wrinkles, scars, or stretch marks, laser treatment may be your best option for minimizing these issues. Light and laser skin treatments offer a range of technologies, including IPL photofacial, Fraxel® Dual, Vbeam® Perfecta, and CO2RE fractional laser.
These treatments vary in aggressiveness and downtime, each offering its own benefits. While you can combine them with other nonsurgical treatments in some circumstances, it may be best to separate your sessions by a couple of weeks. For example, although you can typically combine your dermal filler treatment with a laser skin treatment, your provider may recommend waiting between BOTOX and laser skin resurfacing treatments.
Your provider will develop a treatment plan that addresses your skin and rejuvenation concerns, including the best method and timing for your various treatments.
As you age, your body’s collagen production dwindles. This causes your skin to thin and lose moisture and firmness. Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, refreshes the skin by increasing collagen production. During the procedure, your provider will use very tiny needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. This spurs your body’s natural healing process to produce new collagen, generating fresher, younger-looking skin.
Microneedling typically works well with medical-grade skincare products and, in some cases, other treatments such as IPL and chemical peels.
